Now Open

MILK BEACH | QUEEN’S PARK, NORTH WEST LONDON
There’s a new brunch on the block! And it’s been carefully curated by the brilliant Chris Munnings (Duck & Waffle Local). Like the sound of coddled eggs in jar, with sweet potato puree and sourdough soldiers? Or banana bread with espresso cream cheese? Yeah, we thought so… That’s just a taster of the brunch menu at MILK BEACH, the all-new Australian café on the vibrant Lonsdale Road in Queen’s Park. In the evenings, come back for natural wines and small plates developed by Munnings in conjunction with Chef Consultant George Tomlin (P. Franco and Clove Club), including beef cheek pappardelle and Shaoxing poached bass. And did we mention that one of the owners is a two-time UK Coffee Roasting Champion? Well, we have now.
CATTIVO  |  BRIXTON
If you’re a fan of industrial-chic, cocktail clubs, and cabaret, then you need to make a date to visit Cattivo (Albion + East). The naughty little brother of Canova and Martello Halls, this Brixton newcomer combines Italian-inspired dining at street level with a decadent below ground cocktail bar, hosting nightly entertainment. No half measures here – enjoy an ever-changing roster of Showtime Brunches, Friday Band Night and DJ sets to take guests into the early hours. Fetch us a feather boa, we’re heading straight for the Drag Queens!

CASA PUEBLO | TULUM, MEXICO

We’re already planning our next holiday, namely a trip to Tulum to visit The Umbrella Project’s (the group behind The Sun Tavern + Discount Suit Company) Mexican venture, Casa Pueblo. In the latest of their near-on annual openings, the award-winning East London cocktail bar group are bringing their elegantly crafted classic cocktails to the Yucatán peninsula, with Tulum’s first stay-and-work hotel. And no working environment is complete with a carefully curated cocktail menu. Expect flourishes of local ingredients, such as agave and hibiscus, and reinventions of classic Mexican drinks, like Tepache (fermented pineapple).

ROOMS AT THE COACH |  CLERKENWELL

The CoachClerkenwell’s award-winning pub, has just unveiled its four stunning bedrooms, overlooking the cobbled streets of this atmospheric quarter of London. The rooms dial up the building’s historic features, while keeping to the mid-century modern style across the venue. Ideal for when you’re passing through the capital, or simply can’t face the long journey home.

AROUND THE CORNER

HARCOURT INNS COMES TO CHISWICK
West Londoners rejoice, the Harcourt Inns group (The Harcourt, Three Cranes, The Coach and The Hero of Maida), are opening a new venue in Chiswick in January 2019. Chef Director Henry Harris will be at the helm of this new neighbourhood spot, showcasing a Mediterranean-leaning menu, finished with Harris’s signature French bourgeois style of cooking. If you’ve previously visited their sister sites, then you know you’d be wise to get your Sunday Roast bookings in early. Back of the queue please, we were here first!
SERATA HALL, THE BOWER, OLD STREET
The third Hall in the family is due to arrive March 2019, into The Bower, Old Street’s landmark quarter, featuring an on-site bakery. Serata Hall will showcase the group’s popular, Italian-American influenced, all-day menus, alongside the on-site bakery, Tiny Tower, that will make artisan breads and cakes daily for all three sites.
